■ The Elevator
A contribution to the debate on racism in Bolivia.
Outside a supermarket, Carlos and Jhony seize Hector, a young businessmen, at gunpoint and force him to take them to his office to steal a large sum of money.
Fate plays a dirty trick on them and they find themselves trapped in a elevator for the three days of the carnival.
The characters have to learn to co-exist if they are to find a balance that will enable them to survive until they are released, but this is no easy task given the vast differences between them.
Class conflict, irony, lies and intolerance all form the backdrop to this story, punctuated by the lift unexpectedly dropping every so often, forcing the characters down, floor by floor.
