The visit of the United Nations Special Rapporteur to Bolivia
November/early December 2007, Rodolfo Stavenhagen, then UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights and fundamental freedoms of indigenous people, visited different organisations of the Bolivian highlands and lowlands to assess the situation of indigenous peoples in that country.

A couple of months earlier, Bolivia had become the first country in the world to transpose the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples into domestic law.

In this documentary, on what was his last official visit before standing down from the UN, we see the Special Rapporteur listening to the demands and needs of Bolivia's indigenous peoples, while at the same time offering a message of hope to all those seeking a lasting solution to their problems.
